Happy World Usability Day 2021

This year's theme is Design of our Online World: Trust, Ethics and Integrity. Here's what that means:

• You are either building trust or destroying it.
• Trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair.
• Ethics means doing and making things with the wellbeing of others in mind.
• If those already privileged are benefitting at the expense of those who are overlooked and underserved, you're doing it wrong.
• Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching, or when you have to stand up to authority.
• You also allow people to follow their own path, and support their choices.
• Remember: A focus on trust, ethics and integrity requires hard work, lots of practice and intentful listening.
• It's also way easier when you find your allies to share with and learn from.
• You can still win, but when you win with trust, ethics and integrity - we all win at the same time.
