Best UX Designer in Sweden
Per Axbom has worked as a consultant within the field of UX design for more than two decades. As an early blogger on the topics of usability, UX and accessibility he has had a big influence on the industry in Sweden, and he is generally regarded as a significant voice in promoting the UX profession in a Swedish context.
A large part of Per's UX career has been about speaking out on ethical issues related to building digital services and products. He gives talks and teaches classes on ethics in design, all while developing new models and frameworks for moral decision-making in the digital industry.
In his work as UX designer Per has stretched the boundaries of the profession by incorporating business strategy, psychology, copywriting and ethics to show how UX design is dependent on a holistic and systemic mindset to truly reach its potential.
When Per received the STIMDI award in 2016, this was the jury's motivation:
As a long-standing and valued UXer, lecturer and podcaster, Per has contributed to increasing awareness about good usability. He has also shared his experience by participating as a mentor in STIMDI's mentoring program. With his background in media and communication science, he has constantly found new ways to communicate UX, which is fully in line with STIMDI's ambitions.
